Description
Purchasing 101 will focus on the role of purchasing, including procurement methods and competitive bidding requirements. You’ll learn the differences between a bid and a request for proposal and gain an understanding of professional services, independent contractor and general services agreements, and surplus and purchasing policies.

Purchasing 201 will address advanced subjects in purchasing, including service and equipment bids, unit price bids, construction contracts, surety bonds, insurance requirements, E-rate (as it relates to procurement), and the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act.
