Description
Child Nutrition Programs play an important role in both the health and welfare of students and the financial impact to school budgets. This course will provide an overview of the Federal Child Nutrition Meal Programs and requirements, the California Universal meal program, and discuss the importance of the free/reduced eligibility counts and how they affect the unduplicated count. The course will also provide an understanding of both allowable and unallowable uses of cafeteria funds and an overview of financial management, food and labor cost, and inventory control to ensure financial stability.
